Unfortunately, my experience at Bachman’s today was very disappointing. I’ve been here multiple times, and every time I come, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I really think the customer service experience needs to be revamped. I had the day off today and was looking forward to simply spending some time at the garden center and looking at plants. Instead, I encountered several employees who were either unhelpful, dismissive, or unfriendly. The first employee I approached was rude and directed me to someone else rather than helping me. The second employee did eventually help me find the plant I was looking for, although he walked away in the middle of helping me and then came back to finish assisting me. The interaction at the register was the most disappointing. I couldn’t find the price of one of the plants, and instead of simply helping me find it, the cashier spoke to me loudly and in a demeaning manner. I was made to feel embarrassed for not knowing the price. There was absolutely no reason for her to speak to me that way. Disappointed with the customer service. Bought 3 plants and they all died. When I tried to return it I was told I couldn’t if it was past 7 days. Needless to say if the plant doesn’t die within 7 days then you are at a loss. Pretty sure when I bought it I was told one year by the cashier. Well I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Marlo in the garden area cashier rolls her eyes if she can’t send you on a treasure hunt for the items you spent time, gas and effort to purchase at bachmans. She wanted to send me on a hunt to find the items I came for. I am a regular customer, not just someone who frequents during their gardening event. When I asked for help with a specific soil after walking all the way through bachmans & being told by another worker of bachmans that the soil was in the garden center, I approached Marlo. Asked for the soil and she said she didn’t know. I have planter fasciitis, it’s painful to walk. She clearly had an attitude just for asking about soil that Bachmans sells 🤯 she had such a nasty attitude and not just an “I am overwhelmed attitude” but an attitude like she was somehow above the consumer & hated her job attitude, you know the one, the why are you even speaking to me attitude. It didn’t help she had other cashiers around her with the same attitude staring me down from head to toe in my face I almost wanted to ask what the issue was. I am being staired down for only asking where the soil was located. I am an adult, not a child working my first time job…. With an attitude. I have ch

Rated for the plants / garden items. They do carry a large selection of gifts / Nick nacks. 4 stars as we don't really have another chain garden stores that carry live plants at reasonable prices. Winter doesn't get a lot of change out but the garden under the greenhouse is a nice visit. Summer is amazing and the place to go for plants. You will spend more than Home Depot / Hardware stores but less than specialty greenhouses. Seed choices can be lacking. Same selection you see in hardware stores and one small extra rack.

Good plant selection lots of unique finds but at check out the lady helping us was sweet but very pushy on upselling like ceramic pots and water trays. We where already spending over $200 and got a bit annoyed as ceramic pots would have added a couple more hundred dollars.
